Training position for MAS BSLB in Study and Career Counseling biz Oerlikon 60 - 80%Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling is responsible for the services in the area of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents, and families are at the center of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment.
The biz Oerlikon is a cantonal competence center for career, study, and career counseling.
In the Study and Career Counseling department at biz Oerlikon, we offer a training position starting September 2026 as part of the MAS in Career, Study, and Career Counseling – either in the MAS CC HRM of the Universities of Bern and Fribourg or in the MAS BSLB of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW).
Your tasks / What to expect
As part of your employment, you will have the opportunity to get to know the comprehensive tasks of study and career counseling as well as the other services at biz Oerlikon. Your learning supervisor will support you in transferring the knowledge acquired in theory into counseling practice. The focus of your work is on study and career counseling. After thorough training, you will first conduct counseling sessions with adolescents and adults under supervision, then independently. You will get to know the activities of study and career counseling at high schools, be trained in the application of psychological diagnostics, engage with the Swiss education system and the information landscape, and participate in various other tasks of study and career counseling.
Your profile / What you bring
You have admission to the continuing education master's program in Career, Study, and Career Counseling at ZHAW (ideally from September 2026) or for the CC HRM or are about to obtain it soon. You have a university degree in psychology or a related field of study and possibly already some counseling or psychological professional experience. You are an open and communicative person, reliable, flexible, and characterized by a very independent way of working.
Our offer / Salary and study costs
Salary: In the 1st year of training, the salary at 100% employment is CHF 81,113, in the 2nd year CHF 92,603. For a training-accompanying employment between 60 - 80%, the salary is calculated proportionally. The AJB also covers 50% of the tuition fees. Books, study materials, and travel expenses are borne by the students. The education days are taken during non-working hours. We offer you an attractive training position in an exciting environment.
