Job Description

In this position, you are responsible as an expert for customs activities in Switzerland and work directly in our Toblerone factory in Bern.
Your contribution
- Ensuring the correct execution of customs-relevant processes in Switzerland, including management of active processing of raw materials
- Handling export support of the Raw Material Subsidy Fund for dairy raw materials as well as the sugar import-export regulation of the Réserve Suisse
- Responsibility for the area of goods origin and preferential tariffs
- Monitoring export and import customs declarations, including correct tariff classification and duty calculation, including processing customs invoices from authorities
- Interface and contact person both internally within the group and for customs agencies and authorities, as well as during audits
- Bringing in your expertise in the customs area within projects
- Issuing or obtaining export documents
- Key user of customs software
- Representing colleagues in Export Planning during holidays and in case of illness
What you bring
The desire to lead our company into the future and advance your career through experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- Completed training/course as export specialist
- High school diploma/maturity exam, specialization in business administration or logistics preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in a customs-relevant activity in Switzerland
- Experience in foreign trade departments of the food industry, at customs agencies or in logistics companies
- Fluent knowledge of German and English, spoken and written
- Strong Office application skills, especially advanced experience with MS Excel
- SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Strong sense of responsibility, structured and independent working style
- Knowledge of Swiss customs law including E-dec
- Experience in project management
