Head of Support Services / Member of the Child and Adult Protection Authority

The Child and Adult Protection Authority KESB is there for people in need. Those who need help and support can count on KESB. No day is like the other with us. In the interdisciplinary team, we actively shape a safe future for vulnerable adults, families, children, and adolescents.
We are looking for the newly created position at the KESB Graubünden, North Grisons branch, by agreement a Head of Support Services / Member of KESB.
Your area of responsibility
- Personnel, professional, and organizational management of the support services Clarification Service, Administration, Legal Service, and Audit (4 directly supervised team leaders and a total of 20 employees)
- Deputy of the branch manager (including management of KESB Graubünden)
- Active participation in the further development of the existing organization, professional standards, and applied legal practice
- Decision-making within the interdisciplinary decision-making body and co-responsibility for the ordering and adjustment of child and adult protection measures
- Case management of assigned cases as well as drafting and processing related decisions
- Conducting own clarifications and issuing clarification orders
- Personal hearings of vulnerable and other involved persons
- Advice and support of guardians
- Collaboration with municipalities and external specialist offices and institutions
What we expect from you
- Degree from a university, university of applied sciences, or equivalent education in the field of law
- Experienced, connecting leadership personality with high communication and social skills, combined with a strong awareness of the various roles
- Several years of professional experience in statutory social work, preferably in the child and adult protection area of a KESB or professional guardianship, a court, or a youth prosecution office
- Very good verbal and written expression skills (German)
- Great joy in teamwork and above-average service orientation
- Flexibility, high resilience, and decisiveness even in difficult situations
- Precise and independent working style and pronounced sense of responsibility
- Good Office user skills
- Willingness to perform on-call duty
- Driver's license category B
