The IV Office of the Canton of Bern is undergoing change and is focusing on a modern corporate and leadership culture. We want to align our actions more closely with the needs of our clients and advance digitalisation.
The Regional Medical Service (RAD) Bern, Fribourg, Solothurn examines the insurance medical requirements for receiving benefits from the disability insurance for the cantonal IV offices.
What you can achieve with us
- You assess the work and reintegration capacity of our insured persons from a medical perspective based on the case files or your own examinations.
- With your expertise, you ensure that entitlement to benefits is determined quickly, efficiently and professionally.
- To this end, you prepare insurance medical reports, collaborate with treating physicians and advise and support our case managers and insurance specialists on medical questions.
- If interested, there is the possibility to take on additional special tasks such as project work or training activities.
Which skills are important to us
- You are a specialist physician with several years of professional experience and are interested in social insurance law and insurance medical issues.
- You appreciate complex matters, make decisions purposefully and like to take responsibility. In addition, you are characterised by a high service orientation.
- You enjoy working with people from different professional fields. With your constructive and helpful manner, you contribute to a good team atmosphere.
- We are a bilingual (German-French) company, so active knowledge of the respective other language is desirable.
Benefits
Working hours:
Annual working time (42 hours/week), possibility to work part-time as well as remotely, paid breaks
Holidays:
At least 25 days of holiday per year, 28 days from the age of 45 and 33 days from the age of 55. Possibility of unpaid leave
Salary:
Cantonal salary system, gender-neutral and transparent salary policy. Full salary during parental leave, military, civil protection and civilian service

Above-average contribution to the Bern pension fund, payment of half the premium for non-occupational accident, supplementary accident and daily sickness allowance insurance
