Trade Surveillance Analyst

Are you interested in the financial markets? This position offers you the chance to experience stock exchange operations up close and in a unique working environment.
To strengthen our Markets Supervision & Investigation team in Zurich, we are looking for a committed individual as a Trade Surveillance Analyst. In this role, the focus is on monitoring, detecting, and investigating potentially abusive trading activities as well as possible rule violations by market participants. In addition, you will actively contribute to the further development and optimization of the surveillance systems.
These are your tasks
- Monitoring the trading venue for irregularities (market manipulation, insider trading, rule violations, etc.) including conducting data analyses and preparing preliminary clarification and investigation reports for supervisory and law enforcement authorities
- Contact person for traders and participants on regulatory questions
- Further development or support of surveillance tools and scenarios by recognizing trends and patterns and supporting reporting obligations (monthly reports, quarterly reports, etc.)
- Participation in and support of projects within the department
What you bring with you
- Higher education degree (university of applied sciences or university) in economics, finance, or equivalent banking training or several years of compliance experience in trading and investment banking
- Ideally expertise and several years of experience in trading various asset classes (stocks, bonds, warrants)
- Ability to grasp complex contexts and present them appropriately for the target audience
- A pronounced analytical mindset
- Excellent language skills (business fluent in German and English, French desirable)
