Job information

Starting date:           September 1st, 2024
Contract duration:    The initial contract is 1 year. The contract can be renewed twice for two years. The total maximum duration is five years.
Location:                  University of Lausanne, Faculty for Business and Economics. The research activities will be carried out in Lausanne, Switzerland, where the candidate should take residence.
Employment rate:    80% the 1st year, then 100% from the 2nd year
Salary:                     67’165 CHF (first year) – 78’324 CHF (fifth year) at 100%
Supervisor:              The supervisor will be Professor Gaia Melloni


 


Your responsibilities

•    A minimum of 50% of the regular working hours will be dedicated to the completion of doctoral studies and realisation of a doctoral thesis;


•    A maximum of 50% of the regular working hours will be spent assisting with teaching and research tasks (teaching activities under a professor’s responsibility; research work that is not linked to personal research and technical or administrative tasks that pertain the department’s teaching or research activities).


 


Your qualifications

•    A master’s degree in Management or a closely related discipline;
•    Fluency in English;
•    A passion for research;
•    Ability to work independently;
•    An interest in the topics on which Professor Melloni does research (e.g., sustainability accounting, disclosure and/or corporate social responsibility);
•    Eligible to enter the PhD program of the Faculty of Business and Economics;
•    Willing to complete a doctoral thesis in the area of Accounting and Control.
