JOB DESCRIPTION:
Head of Key Account – Global NGO
This position is field based for Rapid Diagnostics division in Switzerland.
The Head of Key Account leads the organisation’s most strategic partnerships, ensuring long term value, impact, and revenue growth. This role is responsible for cultivating high level relationships with major donors, corporate partners, foundations, and institutional stakeholders across multiple regions. The director acts as a trusted advisor, aligning partner priorities with the NGO’s mission and global programms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Leadership
• Develop and execute multi year account strategies for top global partners.
• Identify opportunities to deepen engagement, expand funding, and co create initiatives.
• Serve as the primary relationship owner for senior level contacts, including C suite, board members, and philanthropic leaders.
Revenue Growth & Stewardship
• Drive annual revenue targets through renewals, upsells, and new partnership opportunities.
• Lead negotiations for major agreements, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organisational policies.
• Oversee stewardship plans that demonstrate impact, transparency, and long term value.
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with programme, finance, communications, and advocacy teams to design compelling partnership proposals.
• Coordinate global teams to deliver on partner commitments and ensure consistent communication.
• Provide strategic insights to leadership on market trends, donor expectations, and partnership risks.
Account Performance & Reporting
• Monitor partnership performance using KPIs, dashboards, and impact metrics.
• Prepare high quality reports, presentations, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate forecasting and contribute to organisational planning cycles.
Thought Leadership & Representation
• Represent the NGO at global forums, donor meetings, and sector events.
• Champion innovative partnership models, including shared value collaborations and multi stakeholder initiatives.
• Strengthen the organization’s reputation as a trusted, strategic partner.
Qualifications & Experience
• Significant experience in key account management, strategic partnerships, fundraising, or business development — ideally in an international NGO or global corporate environment.
• Proven track record of managing multimillion dollar accounts or complex global partnerships.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship building skills.
• Ability to navigate cross cultural environments and work across time zones.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial acumen.
• Passion for social impact, sustainability, or humanitarian work.
