Key information about the position:

Reference: CLS/RH/2025.725 / Contract type: Permanent contract at 100% / Hours: 7am-4pm and 12pm-9pm during the week according to schedule, and 7am-8pm on weekends and public holidays / Start date: as soon as we find the right person, ideally March 1, 2026 / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 stop "Riponne" or Bus 2, 3 or 21 stop "Beaulieu-Jomini")

Why do we need you?

To replace the current holder, we are looking for a Reference Nurse for Bed Management who will be involved in managing the service and supervising all patient movements (admissions, discharges, and transfers).

What will you be expected to do?

• Ensure the smooth running of the service and guarantee the efficiency and quality of care
• Manage schedules and coordinate activities to meet service objectives
• Assess bed needs and manage bed allocation based on clinical priorities
• Be the point of reference for all questions related to bed allocation
• Coordinate all patient flows in collaboration with medical and administrative teams (admissions, discharges, and transfers)
• Monitor bed occupancy in real time and anticipate future needs
• In collaboration with the Operational Director, implement necessary procedures for continuous improvement and process optimization

Who will you work with?

What do we expect from you?

Essentials:

• Holder of a nursing diploma HES or equivalent recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
• Minimum of 5 years experience in acute care and successful experience in bed management
• Comfortable with common computer tools

• Good organizational and decision-making skills
• Stress, priority, and emergency management
• Skills in multiprofessional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution
• Knowledge of Opale and Clevehr tools
