• Planning, conception, modeling, and implementation of complex IT platforms and infrastructures based on business requirements, company initiatives, and own opportunity identification
• Ensuring operation and highest availability of our IT infrastructure as well as regular maintenance, monitoring, and optimization
• Highest technical escalation level for incidents and problems, troubleshooting, and solution finding
• Project management, coordination of interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring project goals
• Responsibility for documentation of systems and system changes
• Continuous improvement of support and operational processes including automation
• Review of systems through simulations and tests
• Guidance and mentoring of younger team members, employee development
• Consulting IT management regarding technological advancement and architecture
• Active participation in the continuous improvement of team performance and working methods according to agile principles
• Promotion of collaboration and technical knowledge transfer within the IT department

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience as a system engineer with proven strategic involvement
• Proven, solid knowledge and experience in several of the following areas: operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization, databases, backup solutions, cloud technologies (Azure), operation/maintenance of data centers, MDM and software distribution as well as collaboration and communication platforms (MS Exchange, Webex including telephony)
• Proven, solid understanding of networks and system security, proficient in all relevant protocols (including OSPF, BGP)
• Very good scripting skills (PS)
• Very good analytical and logical thinking and systematic problem-solving skills
• Self-organized and very good prioritization skills, consistent in completing tasks, high quality awareness
• Proven experience in mentoring younger employees
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex issues understandably to non-IT professionals and customers
• Proven ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• Willingness to work outside business hours and on weekends for projects, maintenance, or emergency support (on-call duty)
