Starting from the spring semester 2026, the Department of Music will newly fill the
Lectureship in Music-Theatrical Training for Singing Students (divisible, total 75%)
in the profile Interpretation and Performance.
Your tasks
We are looking for versatile, artistically and pedagogically competent personalities with extensive experience in teaching the various aspects of music-theatrical training for singing students (stage training, scenic-musical design, stage-specific body awareness as well as scenic body and movement training). In the Minor Music Theatre, you will teach singing students the essential skills for a successful scenic performance. You will not only focus on teaching the basics but place special emphasis on the practical application of what has been learned. As part of a team, you will prepare students for workshop performances as well as the annual music theatre production with guest direction.

We expect excellent pedagogical skills and teaching experience in higher education or the willingness to develop further in these areas. As part of your regular presence at the Toni-Areal, you will take responsibility within the team for continuous training of singing students in the music-theatrical field. You are willing to take on tasks outside of teaching within the Department of Music and actively participate in the artistic life of the university. The workload can be divided among several people. Please explain in your motivation letter in which areas of training you can actively contribute to the future teamwork.
