Position Summary
In this position, you will join our highly motivated hardware engineering team.
Your daily work will involve developing inverters for motor drives with power ratings ranging from 1 kW to several hundred kW, used in e-mobility solutions, industrial systems, and high-performance applications.
You will be involved in every stage of the development process, from specification and design to industrialization, cost optimization, laboratory testing and commissioning. Our well-documented, automotive-grade ASPICE development process will guide you through the development cycle, and you will have the opporunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes.
You will collaborate with internal and external partners, working independently within multidisciplinary and sometimes international project teams.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze system requirement specifications, contribute to system concepts, and derive hardware requirements
- Design state-of-the-art electronic power cells and related control circuits to meet reliability, high efficiency, product and development costs, regulatory requirements and project targets
- Contribute in HW design reviews
- Coordinate between EMS partners, the project team and the supply chain
- Test, characterize and debug electronics in the laboratory
- Support testing activities on motor test benches and during external validation processes
- Contribute to cost‑reduction activities at component and PCBA level
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Solid knowledge and experience in power electronics and/or embedded systems
- Experience in PCBA design and testing
- English skills at least at level B2
- The position is open to both senior and junior applicants, the right skill set will be decisive
Also Valuable
- Experience in industrializing electronics for high‑volume production, ideally power electronics for the automotive industry
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) and requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, Visure)
- Experience in hardware development according to functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262)
- Basic project management skills
- Familiarity with relevant standards related to electrical safety, EMC or IPC standards related to PCBA production
- Basic German skills

- Strong team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership of complex tasks
- Strong conceptual and analytical thinking
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and open‑minded mindset
