The Asset Management of Zürcher Kantonalbank is the second largest provider in Switzerland with over CHF 326 billion assets under management (as of 30.11.2025) and around 280+ investment experts. We offer all services of institutional asset management for financial service providers, companies, foundations, and pension institutions. Our sustainability and pension expertise is internationally recognized.
Our very experienced sustainability team with 10 specialists is located at the strategic center of our asset management business and defines the sustainability agenda for the entire platform. With a direct mandate from top management, the team sets company-wide standards and manages the work of nearly 100 investment professionals in integrating sustainability aspects into all investment decisions and product offerings.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sustainability Asset Management Professional to strengthen our asset management team. In this role, you can apply your expertise in sustainability to help shape our sustainability strategy and advance the integration of responsible investment principles into our product offerings. You will lead key sustainability initiatives and projects, contribute to the development of sustainable investment strategies, and represent Zürcher Kantonalbank externally.
Your tasks
- Leading and managing sustainability initiatives and projects in asset management
- Integrating sustainability into investment analysis, decision-making, and portfolio management
- Supporting the creation and review of detailed prospectus formulations and sustainability disclosures, ensuring consistency of formulations across various strategies, offerings, and jurisdictions
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including heads of investment offices, portfolio managers, clients, regulators, and industry associations (AMAS, SSF, etc.)
- Proactively ensuring compliance with relevant sustainability regulations and frameworks (e.g., AMAS 2.2, SFDR) as well as strategic alignment of the product framework
- Contributing to the continuous development and refinement of the sustainable investment approach—both generally and on specific topics (stewardship, climate, biodiversity, etc.)
- Sharing knowledge and mentoring junior colleagues and internal stakeholders
Your profile
- At least 8 years of experience in asset management, including at least 3 years focused on sustainability
- Completed studies (Bachelor) in environmental sciences, finance, economics, or a related field required; Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ESG-related certification) are advantageous
- Proven ability to lead projects and initiatives in sustainability or asset management contexts
- In-depth knowledge of sustainability regulations and relevant frameworks (e.g., AMAS 2.2, SFDR)
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Team player with a cooperative, reliable, and pragmatic working style
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus
- Self-initiative and sense of responsibility
