The research group «Health Economics» led by Prof. Dr. Stefan Felder is looking for a research assistant for 8 hours per week starting 1 June 2026.
Start date: 1 June 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Administrative support for current research and consulting projects
- Professional support with literature research, data analysis, and editorial work
- Preparation and updating of lecture materials
- Assistance with events of the Competence Center (panel discussions, research seminars)
Your profile
- Current studies in economics at the University of Basel (Bachelor/Master)
- Interest in health economic issues
- Quick comprehension and interest in working on new topics
- Basic knowledge of common MS Office products and statistical programs (R)
- Fluent German (English skills are required)
You also work reliably, carefully, and committed. In addition, you are willing to independently familiarize yourself with new topics and methods.

We offer you the opportunity to gain insight into highly current, interesting research projects and actively participate in shaping them. You will have the chance to apply and expand the knowledge acquired during your studies. Furthermore, there is the possibility to develop a Bachelor or Master thesis topic from the project.
