Intern in the Field of Invasive Neobiota
Experience everyday professional life. The Biosafety Section (zh.ch/neobiota) deals with biological risks in closed and open systems, with invasive, non-native organisms, so-called invasive neobiota, also playing a role. To support this, the Biosafety team is looking for an intern from early January 2026 for 6 months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months.
Your tasks
During your internship, you will support the Biosafety Section in the field of neobiota. You will work with other cantonal offices, federal offices, municipalities, and private offices. In daily business, you will be involved in various cantonal as well as national projects and independently handle assignments.
Your profile
- Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, geography, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, or similar fields.
- You have a quick grasp and an interdisciplinary approach to action and thinking.
- You are proficient in using ArcGIS and have solid species knowledge in botany.
- You master the German language confidently in spoken and written form at C2 level.
