As part of the Business Unit Shared Services (SHS) of Hamilton Bonaduz AG, this area takes on central tasks for the Hamilton companies. Teams in HR, ICT, Corporate Communication, Facilities, and Finance ensure that processes run smoothly and employees worldwide are optimally supported.
What you can achieve:
As Head of Controlling, you are responsible together with your team (span of control: 8 employees) for the group-wide management of Hamilton's financial performance with a clear focus on digitalization, automation, and data-driven management. The goal is to build a highly integrated, efficient, and scalable controlling function that provides management and executive leadership with relevant decision-making bases.
Financial Management & Performance Management
- Overall responsibility for operational and strategic controlling of Hamilton Bonaduz and the Medical Group
- Ensuring transparent, timely, and target-group-appropriate financial and management reporting
- Analysis of deviations (actual vs. budget / forecast / previous year) including derivation of measures and recommendations for action
- Definition, maintenance, and further development of KPIs and control logics
- Financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, business cases, investments, and make-or-buy decisions
Planning, Budgeting & Forecast
- Responsibility for the group-wide budget, forecast, and multi-year planning process
- Methodical further development of planning processes (e.g., scenarios, rolling forecast, etc.)
- Close cooperation with business units, functions, and management
Cost, Investment & Project Controlling
- Further development of cost center, project, and, if applicable, profit center controlling
- Ensuring the profitability of investments including post-calculations
- Building and maintaining structured project controlling
Processes, Systems & Governance (Digitalization & Automation)
- Active shaping of the finance IT roadmap in close cooperation with IT and accounting
- Further development and harmonization of the ERP, BI, and reporting landscape
- Building a clear data and KPI governance (single source of truth)
- Use of modern BI and analytics approaches (e.g., self-service BI, dashboards, advanced analytics)
- Ensuring governance, compliance, and internal control system (ICS) requirements in an increasingly automated system landscape
What you bring:
Professional Qualifications
- Completed studies in business administration, finance, controlling, or comparable (MBA/EMBA advantageous)
- Several years of relevant professional experience in controlling, ideally in an international industrial or medtech environment
- Solid knowledge in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance management
- High IT affinity; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and BI/reporting tools
- Strong data and analytical skills for the professional design of the BI strategy in controlling (data models, KPIs, governance)
- Experience in translating business requirements into reporting and analysis concepts (self-service BI, management dashboards)
- Sound understanding of insurance mechanisms in the corporate environment (e.g., property, liability, product liability, transport, and cyber insurance)
- Very good knowledge in building, operating, and further developing an internal control system (ICS)

- Pragmatic approach to implementing business requirements into digital controlling solutions
