What to expect
- Responsibility for the strategic development of the three IT Operations areas Workplace & Services, Infrastructure & Network, and Developer Platform
- Development and communication of a clear, understandable product vision for all three areas
- Building and managing a cross-departmental roadmap with a focus on measurable impact
- Joint discovery and development of initiatives with stakeholders and teams, from problem definition to actionable solution
- Structuring problems into clearly defined, actionable initiatives
- Prioritization of these initiatives based on business impact, risk, effort, and strategic relevance
- Use of KPIs and data to guide decisions and evaluate initiatives
- Close collaboration with three engineering team leads in a leader duo model
- Active stakeholder management between engineering, business, and internal users, including expectation management and clear prioritization of requirements
- Supporting teams in further developing their working methods towards clear, effective processes (e.g., based on Scrum, Kanban, or DevOps principles)
- Ensuring that the three teams focus on topics with the greatest added value and are not fragmented by unplanned requirements
What you bring
- Completed studies in business informatics, computer science, data science, business administration, or a comparable qualification
Product Management & Leadership
- Several years of experience as a Senior Product Manager or in a comparable role
- Experience in responsibility for multiple teams or product areas, ideally in close collaboration with engineering leads
- Proven experience in prioritizing complex topics and building clear roadmaps
- Experience in discovery and structured development of initiatives together with stakeholders and engineering teams
- Experience working with agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban and a clear understanding of when which approaches are useful
- Experience with outcome-oriented product development as well as working with OKRs or comparable goal systems
- Experience in data-driven product management, including defining and using KPIs
- Ability to carefully balance business requirements, technical dependencies, and operational constraints
- Strong communication skills and excellent stakeholder management skills, even in challenging situations
- Ability to provide orientation, structure complexity, and make well-founded decisions
Technical Understanding
- A solid basic understanding of infrastructure topics (network, cloud, platforms) and their impact on stability, scalability, and operations
- Understanding of how modern software delivery works, e.g., based on continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps principles
- Ideally also an understanding of modern workplace and end-user needs
- The ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new technical topics and ask well-founded questions
- Experience with common AI and LLM tools as well as a good understanding of effective prompting
- Enjoy working with engineering teams on an equal footing
