ACCOUNTING MANAGER LUXEMBOURG
Position
General Ledger
Reconciling GL accounts, preparing and posting journal entries, and monitoring entries, clearings, accruals, and reclassifications.
Providing budget holders with information on expenditures.
C&B Transactions
Clearing accounts across multiple bank accounts. Preparing and submitting various templates.
Ensuring timely execution of month-end (ME) and year-end (YE) accounting activities (GL, AP, Payroll, FA, etc.) and excise tax reconciliation.
Tax Compliance
Collating tax returns (Excise, VAT, CIT, transfer pricing, and EU regulations) and monitoring timely tax payments.
Reconciling and supervising tax-related GL balances (IFRS & Local GAAP).
Monitoring fiscal form compliance, including reconciliation activities.
Accounts Payable
Coordinating vendor invoices with the Shared Service Center (GBS), including tracing requisitioners, PO numbers, incorrect invoices, reminders, and vendor contact.
Coordinating various requests from local employees.
Internal and External Audit
Providing support for internal and external audits, including financial statement preparation, gathering audit evidence, and following up on audit requests.
J-SOX Controls
Ensuring effective operation of all J-SOX GRM controls assigned to the position.
Fulfilling all global J-SOX requirements related to assigned controls.
Training & Development
Supporting the development, motivation, and delivery of appropriate training to the wider finance team and budget owners, while maintaining close liaison with the Shared Business Centres.
Requirements
- Bachelor in accounting (or equivalent)
- Preferably 4-6 years’ experience in an international company, and knowledge of IFRS and LU GAAP
- English & French mandatory
- Enhanced MS Office knowledge, SAP knowledge
- Project management skill
