About the job

CONTACT, Foundation for Addiction Support, offers services in the field of harm reduction. Its goal is to reduce the risks and negative consequences of substance use for those affected and society. CONTACT is guided by the four-pillar model of Swiss addiction policy.

From May 1, 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a

Employee at La Strada, 10%

La Strada in Bern is aimed at sex workers at risk of addiction and offers them a place to relax and low-threshold counseling, distribution of condoms, and syringe exchange. The workplace is located in a camper directly on Taubenstrasse in Bern.

Your tasks are:

Operating the bus according to the current La Strada concept

Counseling and support of sex workers

Referral and networking with complementary institutions

Distribution of prevention materials including counseling

Medical first aid, psychological crisis intervention, and triage

Participation in project groups and public events

Working hours are Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. (including public holidays)

Team meetings are on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

You bring / You are

Training as a social worker / social pedagogue

High flexibility

Knowledge/experience in addiction work and/or dealing with sex workers is an advantage

Languages: German spoken and written, French spoken (at least A2), additional language skills are an advantage
Driver's license category B
