Accounting Specialist 80% (m/f/d)
The Accounting Department in the Finance and Administration division is responsible not only for the bookkeeping of Caritas Switzerland but also for managing several mandate accounting books for various non-profit organizations. The team handles financial accounting including various subsidiary ledgers, cost accounting, and is responsible for preparing the annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER.
Your tasks
- Co-responsibility for the annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER 21 and the quarterly financial statements
- Managing the general ledger and accounts receivable accounting
- Controlling accounts payable management (in the electronic workflow)
- Responsibility for international and national payment transactions (including reconciliation of donation receipts)
- Participating in the annual audit and interim audit
- Supervising/training a learning person
- Creating and revising process documentation and projects
Our requirements
- Professional certificate in finance and accounting or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in accounting
- Knowledge of Abacus is an advantage
- Communicative and service-oriented personality
- Openness to new working methods and role-based work
Workplace: Lucerne and 50% of the workload possible in home office
