Deputy Head of Passport Office Zurich 80 - 100%The Passport Office of the Canton of Zurich is affiliated with the Security Directorate and is responsible for issuing passports and identity cards for Swiss citizens residing in the Canton of Zurich.
As part of a succession plan, we are looking for a committed and flexible personality starting May 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Support and deputy of the Head of the Passport Office in the professional, personnel, and organizational management of the Passport Office
- Ensuring goal- and service-oriented customer care by the employees
- Commitment to the technical further development of the specialized applications as well as contract and supplier management (in cooperation with the IT managers of the Directorate and the Office for IT)
- Participation in controlling and budgeting
- Participation in internal and external projects
- Personnel management of temporary employees
Your profile
- Diploma Higher Professional Examination (or equivalent)
- Several years of professional experience in commercial and customer-oriented activities
- Practical experience in the support of specialized applications and a pronounced IT affinity
- Several years of leadership experience
- Excellent German skills (spoken and written), additional language skills are an advantage
- Impeccable reputation
