The Opportunity
Hitachi Energy High Voltage Products is the globally recognized specialist for power transmission and distribution. The service unit is responsible for worldwide after-sales support of generator circuit breaker systems (GCB) and gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, additional services, troubleshooting, expansions, modifications, and replacements.
Service is the key to success. As a colleague in our globally active service team, you appreciate independent, varied, and solution-oriented work. After a versatile, practical training in Switzerland and abroad, you will lead GIS installations and maintenance worldwide. What You Can Achieve
Leading multicultural construction sites worldwide for gas-insulated switchgear for voltage levels from 110KV to 550KV
Responsible for the successful execution of on-site installation, maintenance, and repairs while adhering to contractual deadlines and considering local legal requirements
Responsible for the quality of on-site work through quality control and assessment of the skills of local assistants
Conducting product training on-site at the product and during installation
Responsible for risk evaluation and minimization.
Coordination and instruction of workers
Cost control of deployed resources and regular reporting to project management
Active participation in process improvements and proactive measures to increase the efficiency of on-site activities
Your Background
Completed apprenticeship in metal construction, electrical, or automotive industry
Basic electrical engineering knowledge is a must, further electrical training is an advantage
At least 5 years of professional experience in assembly and commissioning
Very good German and good English skills, at least B2
Willingness for national and especially international worldwide assignments with up to 80% travel activity
Flexible, resilient, and communicative team player
Flair for pragmatic and unconventional problem-solving with high quality and safety standards
