Who we are
The University of Bern educates over 19,400 students and employs more than 8,000 staff across around 150 institutes as well as the central administration. It uses a highly diverse spatial infrastructure spread over approximately 130 properties.
The Operations and Technology (OT) department is responsible for the efficient and economical operation of buildings and the technical infrastructure. The building technology team, together with the facility management organisations, ensures the safe operation of all building technical systems within the department.
Your tasks
- Ensuring the safe, reliable and economical operation of locking and access systems
- Technical advice and support for construction, conversion and renovation projects
- Initiating, planning and implementing optimisation and improvement measures
- Maintenance of the Primion ZUKO system
- Identifying and resolving faults
- Planning, coordinating and ensuring the maintenance of assigned systems and equipment
- Providing technical support and advice to facility management organisations during ongoing operations
- Monitoring and ensuring the quality of externally provided installation and maintenance services
- Preparing technical assessments, statements and expert reports as required
Your profile
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced specialist with sound knowledge in the planning, implementation and operation of locking systems and access control systems.
- Completed vocational training in a mechanical or electrical profession
- Further training in security technology as well as several years of relevant professional experience
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
- Confident and professional demeanour as well as a high degree of personal responsibility
- Strong team skills as well as high service and customer orientation
