Ophtapharm AG is an FDA/EU-GMP certified manufacturer in the pharmaceutical sector (ophthalmics). At our production site in Hettlingen near Winterthur, high-quality products such as eye drops, ointments, and gels are aseptically produced, filled, and packaged for international markets.

To strengthen our team in Hettlingen, we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Organization and sampling of raw materials and media
- Organization of GMP-compliant and timely testing of the chemical-physical parameters of water (e.g., WFI, HPW), etc., including their GMP-compliant documentation
- GMP-compliant and timely release testing of primary and secondary packaging materials as well as consumables, including their GMP-compliant documentation
- Responsible for the storage and management of batch-related retention samples of raw materials and intermediate products, including ensuring an adequate quantity of samples
- Coordination of necessary measures within the framework of OOX investigations and work area relevant deviations in close cooperation with the QC Services & Compliance Manager and the QA Batch Release department
- Monitoring compliance with the limit values of the monitoring points relevant to the QC Support team, which are connected to the internal monitoring system
- Creation, maintenance, and updating of area-relevant SOPs
- Review and approval of media specifications in close cooperation with the QC Services & Compliance Manager and the QA Regulatory Affairs department
- Execution and supervision of maintenance & qualification for laboratory equipment within the area of responsibility
- Creation of evaluations in case of deviations and independent handling of measures in case of deviations
- Creation of Change Control requests and processing of the corresponding measures within the area of responsibility
- Ensuring constant inspection readiness and representing the team during inspections, customer audits, and internal audits
Your profile
- Degree from a university of applied sciences in chemical engineering, bachelor in chemistry, or chemical laboratory technician; in the latter case with several years of professional experience
- Solid GMP experience and very good knowledge in instrumental analytics, especially TOC
- Experience with common pharmacopoeias (Ph.Eur/USP/BP)
- Experience in the qualification of laboratory equipment
- Good IT skills, especially in the use of MS Office programs. Knowledge of using a CDS and a LIMS is an advantage
- Very good German skills and good English skills in spoken and written form
- Precise and independent working style
- Flexibility, teamwork, and communication
