Mediation Officer Archaeology and Monument Preservation
You actively shape the communication of the Department of Archaeology and Monument Preservation. As part of a committed team, you plan, coordinate and manage public relations, maintain the digital channels and implement projects with great impact – from the European Heritage Days to exhibitions and publications.
Your tasks
- Planning, coordination and management of public relations in line with the communication concept
- Responsibility for the department's Instagram presence
- Maintenance of the website, writing and editing press releases, blog posts and newsletters
- Project management, planning and execution of the European Heritage Days in the Canton of Zurich in cooperation with the Cultural Heritage Network, the cities of Zurich and Winterthur, private partners and department staff (annually in September)
- Support and occasional management of projects, for example: Open House Zurich, Long Night of Zurich Museums, exhibitions, information boards, development of new publication formats
Your profile
- You have a completed degree in a humanities subject or in communication.
- You have several years of experience in public relations, event organization and/or science communication.
- Thanks to your organizational talent, you are able to successfully lead projects and campaigns with numerous internal and external stakeholders.
- In addition, you have very good editorial skills and a knack for topics that inspire people.

You can expect an exciting activity at the interface of cultural mediation, archaeology and monument preservation. You work in an interdisciplinary environment and actively shape the public perception of the cultural heritage in the Canton of Zurich.
