Group Leader Employment Program for Community Service Outdoors (m/f/d)
The Education and Migration Department of Caritas Switzerland runs an employment program (EP) on behalf of the Canton of Schwyz for refugees, asylum seekers, and provisionally admitted persons. The program offers participants meaningful employment, a structured daily routine, and initial insights into the Swiss working world. At the same time, they make a valuable contribution to municipalities, associations, and the Canton of Schwyz.
As part of an expansion, we are looking for a committed individual who feels at home outdoors and can work throughout the year.
Your tasks
- Mobilizing and coordinating participants (PN) for work assignments
- Informing and instructing participants about working hours, rules, work safety, and equipment
- Organizing, providing, and transporting materials, tools, and machines
- Assigning participants according to their skills and the tasks to be performed
- Attendance control of summoned and actually present participants
- Leading, guiding, and accompanying participants during assignments
- Working as a foreman directly at the work sites
- Consistent implementation of applicable rules including issuing sanctions for non-compliance
- Maintenance and operational readiness of devices, machines, and vehicles
Our requirements
- Completed vocational training in construction, landscaping, or a comparable field (EFZ)
- Several years of experience as a foreman or group leader (at least 5 years of professional experience)
- Driver's license category D1 including CZV
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
- Knowledge of cantonal conditions and local orientation in the Canton of Schwyz is an advantage
- Independent, efficient, and responsible working style with a high awareness of quality and safety
- Resilient, proactive, and team-oriented personality
- Strong social competence and the ability to engage with different people, cultures, and individual needs
- Enjoy working in nature and outdoors in all weather conditions
