Canton of Schaffhausen. More than 480 children and adolescents with physical and/or cognitive impairments, with speech, hearing, or other profound
developmental disabilities are currently taught and supported integratively in the regular schools of the canton or separately at four locations in the city of Schaffhausen. In addition to various therapy offerings, we run a school-complementary area with lunch,
day structure, and boarding. Over 570 employees are committed in various functions at the SCHAFFHAUSER SPECIAL SCHOOLS.
We are looking for a speech therapist for our speech therapy school
immediately or by arrangement.
Workload by arrangement, approx. 80%.
The speech therapy school comprises five lower school classes and currently two kindergarten classes.
The schoolchildren are taught according to the Lehrplan 21 of the regular school and receive individual, specific support in the language area.
The teachers and speech therapists of a class with usually up to 8 to 12 students form a small core team that works closely together and is occasionally supported by a
care specialist. Depending on the distribution of workloads in the
overall team of the speech therapy school, therapies outside the core team in another class may also be necessary.
An EDK-recognized speech therapy qualification is a prerequisite for long-term employment in the
Canton of Schaffhausen. Our employment conditions are based on the cantonal
personnel law. Persons qualified as speech therapists with a foreign diploma can be employed on a fixed-term basis until EDK recognition is obtained.
