The Investigation Unit advises and supports client-facing and other internal bank departments in cases of suspected criminal acts and other regulatory violations. It is responsible for conducting investigations, internal inquiries, and internal threat management and acts as an interface to the police.
Your Tasks
- As a team leader, you lead our three-person team with a police service background. You report to the head of the "Legal Regulatory, HR & Investigations" department
- Together with your team, you coordinate the processing of reports and inquiries from the bank, make well-founded decisions, and initiate appropriate measures to protect the bank, its customers, and its employees
- In threat situations, you and your team take responsibility, make quick decisions, and thus contribute to de-escalation and finding solutions
- You conduct internal investigations in cases of suspicion – including securing evidence, data analysis, and interviews
- With your team, you form the bank's interface to the police
- You position your team as a competence center for criminal complaints and criminal proceedings
- You maintain close cooperation with internal bank departments and support the fight against fraud in payment transactions
- You raise awareness in internal risk areas through targeted training and prevention
Your Profile
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable position, ideally in the financial sector
- Basic police training and further education in the areas of investigation, inquiries / threat and crisis management are an advantage
- Training and/or practical experience in criminal law/criminal procedure law
- Clear, convincing communication – written & oral
- Analytical thinking and high comprehension skills
- Enjoyment of contact and talent for sustainable networks
- High personal responsibility, empathy, and commitment – also in exceptional situations
