About the job

The Agriculture Department implements the agricultural legislation of the federal government and the canton. Our goal is to create good framework conditions for a value-adding, sustainable agriculture and alpine farming.

We are looking for a

Agriculture Specialist 50–80 %

immediately or by agreement with the workplace in Glarus.

Tasks

• Processing applications for agricultural land law and agricultural lease law
• Assessment of building applications and plan approvals in the agricultural zone
• Collaboration on statements for consultations
• Participation in strategic issues and commission work
• Collaboration on cantonal and national projects

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master in Agronomy or Environmental Sciences with an affinity for administrative law or Bachelor/Master in Law with an interest in agriculture and agricultural policy
• Knowledge in the field of agricultural legislation (especially in lease and land law) as well as in spatial planning and building law
• Proficiency in written and spoken language
• Structured and independent working style
• Flexibility, networked thinking, and solution-oriented action
• Integrative personality with high communication and presentation skills
