Clinical Studies Manager
Purpose of the Job
As a Clinical Studies Manager at Sonova, you will play a key role in designing and conducting audiological and clinical studies to demonstrate document the clinical benefits of our hearing solutions, technologies, and features functions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate evidence that supports product development and contributes to the advancement of hearing care. This position is ideal for a research-driven professional who is passionate about audiology, clinical research, and improving the lives of individuals with hearing loss.
Responsibilities
• Conduct clinical studies in accordance with local and international regulations (e.g., GCP)
• Develop clinical study protocols in collaboration with researchers, experts, and business units
• Lead and manage all aspects of clinical data collection, analysis, documentation, and reporting
• Support hypothesis formulation and definition of study objectives and acceptance criteria
• Maintain clinical databases and study records, ensuring compliance with data privacy standards
• Contribute to early-stage development activities to assess clinical readiness of new concepts
• Prepare and present study results and clinical insights internally and at scientific events
• Provide training and expert support to internal teams and external partners on clinical and product-related topics
Your Profile
• Master’s degree in Audiology or Hearing Instrument Technology, PhD is a plus
• 4–6 years of experience managing clinical studies in audiology or auditory implants
• Familiar with clinical study design, data analysis, and good clinical practice (GCP)
• Exposure to statistics, research methods, and project management
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional, multicultural teams
• Comfortable working directly with study participants and clinical environments
• Knowledge of hearing instruments, fitting software, diagnostic testing, and acoustics
• Fluent in German and proficient in English (written and spoken); Swiss German is a plus
