As the Consumer Behavior & Behavior Change department at the Institute of Marketing and Corporate Management at the University of Bern, we are engaged in applied research projects with partners from practice alongside teaching and basic research.
The focus of our work is to understand attitudes, decisions, and behaviors of consumers in order to derive and empirically test effective measures to promote health and sustainability behaviors.
Starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are filling a postdoctoral position with a content focus on habit change.

Requirements - Recently completed doctorate in business administration or psychology or a related social or economic science field (maximum 3-6 years after doctorate) o Strong research interest in our field o Enjoyment of experimental work o Knowledge in social psychology / applied psychology desired o Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form.

The maximum academic age from doctorate at the start of employment is three years for Early Postdocs and six years for Advanced Postdocs. The duration of the employment is initially limited to three years. The minimum employment rate is usually 80%, the Protected Research Time is 50% of the employment rate.
