Payroll Expert for Interim Assignments in the German-speaking Switzerland (m/f/d), from 1 February 2027

To strengthen our in-house Payroll Interim Team, we are looking for an experienced individual who supports our clients in the German-speaking Switzerland flexibly, competently and pragmatically.

As a Payroll Expert, you support companies in the German-speaking Switzerland during personnel shortages, transformation projects, system implementations or special payroll challenges. You are permanently employed by HR Campus and work on exciting assignments with a wide range of clients - from SMEs to international corporations.

Depending on the project, you work on-site, hybrid or partially remote. Part-time or full-time - we arrange the assignments flexibly.

Key focus areas include:

• You take responsibility in demanding payroll assignments and ensure that critical processes run smoothly.
• Advising specialists and managers on payroll matters
• Analysing complex payroll issues and developing pragmatic solutions
• Leading or participating in payroll, HR and digitalisation projects
• Supporting migrations, in- and outsourcing projects
• Stabilising and further developing existing payroll processes
• Responsibility for timely and accurate payroll processing including follow-up processes
• Special topics including share packages, in- and expats
• Possibly coordinating with finance or time management, absence management
• Introducing and optimising modern payroll and HR solutions (e.g. SAP, Abacus, SwissSalary)
• Implementing legal changes and testing new system requirements (e.g. ELM)

• Several years of experience as a payroll specialist, payroll lead or payroll manager in Switzerland
• Sound knowledge of the Swiss salary and social insurance system
• You have independently mastered demanding payroll situations and are perceived by clients and stakeholders as a competent contact person
• Confidence in handling at least one leading payroll system such as SAP, Abacus or SwissSalary as well as Excel
• Enjoyment in quickly familiarising yourself with new organisations, teams, processes and systems and creating value rapidly
• You appreciate variety and at the same time bring the stability and security of an experienced payroll professional

• Consulting skills and a confident manner towards different stakeholder groups
• High degree of independence as well as a pragmatic hands-on mentality
