The gibb Vocational School Bern is a cantonal vocational school of the Canton of Bern. We teach around 7,000 young people in more than 60 commercial-industrial professions and train about 1,000 professionals part-time in higher vocational education (HBB). Furthermore, we are an intercompany course center for professions in building technology. From May 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a:

Tasks
- Organizing and conducting intercompany courses for prospective sanitary and heating installers in the third and fourth year of apprenticeship - Organizing and conducting intercompany courses for prospective heating and ventilation planners in the fourth year of apprenticeship. - Further development of laboratory experiments for the intercompany courses - Maintenance and management of the laboratory infrastructure - Management of consumables - Maintenance of tools and measuring devices Support of the laboratory management in the following points: - Contact person for all teachers and lecturers for laboratory visits - Coordination of laboratory staffing (gibb and suissetec) - Communication with the department management and specialist groups - Further development of the laboratory infrastructure - Maintenance of the laboratory control system - Further development and support of the teaching staff in the didactic design of laboratory experiments
Requirements
- You are a sanitary and/or heating installer or planner with practical background and hold a higher professional qualification such as chief foreman, master craftsman and/or FH or HF degree. - A high level of social and team competence - Enjoy working with young people, flair and interest in teaching - Motivation and willingness to engage and further educate yourself in the field of digital planning, CAD, 3D, Revit, and BIM. - Knowledge in IT, MSR, control systems
We offer
We offer a part-time position up to 50 percent, divided into an intercompany course teaching workload as well as a workload for the supervision, maintenance, and further development of the building technology laboratory. The laboratory is extensively equipped and includes diverse, functioning systems and components from the HVAC industry. It is a lively workplace where theory and practice come together. The activity is varied and practice-oriented. You teach in the intercompany course setting and take on various tasks related to the operation and further development of the laboratory. The working days are flexibly plannable. You work in a collegial team where collaboration is a matter of course.
