Information and Documentation Specialist for Cataloging
Office of Culture | Cantonal Library | 30-40% | Chur
For the Cantonal Library, within the Office of Culture, we are looking for an information and documentation specialist for cataloging starting February 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Tasks
- Formal and subject cataloging of newly acquired media
- Processing of old collections
- Management of a specialist sector: selection of media in all three cantonal languages
What we expect from you
- Studies in information science (university of applied sciences/university) or equivalent training
- Several years of professional experience in cataloging various types of media according to RDA regulations
- Experience with the library system "Alma"
- Independent and organized working method, commitment and enthusiasm, ability to work in a team
- Good German skills, basic (passive) knowledge of Italian and/or Romansh
