Tasks:
- lead, coordinate, organize and plan the activities of the Office, in particular the collection of data from professionals and amateurs related to agricultural policy measures and the control activities of farms and summer pastures and the requests for direct payment grants and other contributions
- ensure the proper conduct of processes, procedures and organizational, technical, financial and legal aspects
- lead and promote the knowledge of collaborators in order to ensure the efficiency of the Office, uniformity and quality of service to users
- promote and conduct the updating of information to farm managers, procedures, applications and databases
- maintain contacts with other administrative units both cantonal (in the areas of animal protection, water, soil, air, forests, etc.) and local (municipalities, patrimonies, etc.) and associations and organizations in the territory involved in the implementation of legal provisions to improve their impact and effects
- ensure the correct and timely handling of pending matters by proceeding with clear analysis and synthesis and concrete action and/or response proposals
- participate in cantonal, inter-cantonal thematic committees and working groups, (in)formal training moments and assemblies of agricultural associations on behalf of the Office or the Section
Requirements:
- university education (bachelor + master or bachelor), or equivalent qualifications with proven experience, in agronomy or agricultural sciences
- knowledge in the field of direct payments
- excellent knowledge of the Ticino territory and agricultural reality
- knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) computer systems and/or programming languages and database management/analysis may be a preferential qualification
- previous experience in managerial functions is a preferential qualification
- rigorous management of pending matters, deadlines and data quality
- editorial and organizational skills in the field of human, financial and IT resources
- excellent knowledge of the Italian language (spoken and written) and good knowledge of at least one other official language, preferably German
- initiative and collaboration spirit as well as adaptability and autonomy
