The Vadiana Cantonal Library collects, catalogs, and provides a wide range of printed and electronic media and information for the general, school, professional, cultural, and scientific education of the population. Located centrally in the cantonal capital, it operates the Hauptpost Library together with the St.Gallen City Library, which is aimed at a broad audience and is planned to be replaced by a new building in a few years. At its main location in the museum quarter are the special departments with St.Gallen publications (Sangallensien), historical collections, and rarities. The Cantonal Library also promotes and supports other libraries in the canton of St.Gallen and manages the St.Gallen library network as well as the St.Gallen-Appenzell library association, comprising around 75 libraries in total.

We are looking for one or two employees starting August 2026 or by arrangement

Workload: two positions at 50-70% each or one position at 100%
