For our kitchen team in the residential home, we are looking for a

Kitchen Staff

starting April 1, 2026, or by arrangement.

The Schmelzi Foundation is an institution based in Grenchen that aims to admit, care for, and promote the health of people who need support in the area of psychosocial independence. To this end, the Schmelzi Foundation operates various residential and employment offers.

Your tasks

Preparation of daily, healthy, balanced, and varied meals
Professional collaboration in kitchen operations, including compliance with hygiene regulations and current legal requirements
Assistance in the supervision/advice of trainees in the kitchen area
Substitute work in other kitchens during holiday absences
Assistance in creating the menu plan
Receiving orders

Your profile

Certificate of competence or several years of experience in a kitchen
Knowledge of special diets or willingness to engage with them
Enjoyment in working with people, an outgoing person with a positive team spirit
Quality- and solution-oriented thinking and acting
Independent and responsible way of working
Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
Good MS Office skills
Good German language skills
