The Institute of Infectious Diseases undertakes tasks in teaching and research as well as in diagnostic microbiology in the fields of virology, bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and serological infection diagnostics. It is the only university institute in Switzerland that unites all microbiological special disciplines in the field of clinical microbiology under one roof.
We are looking for
To complement our team in the field of molecular analytics, we are looking for a Dipl. Biomedical Analyst HF (80-100%) to start immediately or by arrangement.
- Independently performing and evaluating molecular biological routine analyses
- Independently performing and evaluating infection serological tests as part of the on-call service
- Ensuring high quality and accuracy of analysis results according to applicable guidelines and SOPs
- Participating in the evaluation and establishment of new test methods and technologies as well as continuous process optimization
- Collaborating on studies in close cooperation with specialists
- Regular participation in night on-call and weekend duties
Requirements
- Completed training as a Biomedical Analyst HF
- Experience in molecular biological methods in a diagnostic setting is an advantage
- Enthusiasm for modern technologies and their practical application in everyday work
- High IT affinity and willingness to familiarize with new digital tools and systems
- Responsible and independent working style
- Flexibility and ability to work in a team
- Willingness to work night, weekend, and on-call shifts
- Good written and spoken German skills are required
