Company Description
The Staff Unit for Digital Innovation (www.sdi.llv.li) is the central specialist office of the national administration for the adoption, implementation, and enforcement of European digitalization legal acts. We coordinate their integration into the EEA Agreement and national law, take on selected enforcement tasks, and represent Liechtenstein in EFTA and EU committees. As a cross-sectional unit at the interface of state, law, and technology, we actively shape the conditions for digital innovations.
Job Description
You feel at home in the following areas of activity:
- You have solid legal knowledge and independently lead projects for the implementation and enforcement of European digitalization legal acts
- You are familiar with the functioning of the EEA law adoption, confidently navigating between European legal requirements and national implementation and enforcement structures
- You design an efficient legislative implementation of the European digitalization legal acts in close coordination with ministries, offices, and the government, understand the legislative process in Liechtenstein, and quickly familiarize yourself with procedures, responsibilities, and decision-making mechanisms
- You analyze complex digital issues with legal, technical, and political depth, especially in the context of new EU regulations and new technical developments, and accompany their operational implementation with a high standard of quality and accuracy
- You prepare reports, guidelines, and concepts that serve as a solid basis for strategic and operational decisions
- You work confidently with internal and external stakeholders, especially in interministerial processes, coordinate consultations with European committees, and actively contribute to positioning Liechtenstein
- You represent Liechtenstein in EFTA and EU working groups, contribute your expertise in international exchange, and support shaping global developments in the field of digitalization
Qualifications
You are particularly characterized for this position by:
- A successfully completed degree in law (Mag. iur., Master, LL.M., or equivalent qualification); postgraduate specializations in European, digital, or administrative law are advantageous and expressly desired
- Solid knowledge of the EEA legal framework, especially regarding the adoption and implementation of European legal acts in the national context
- Very good understanding of the Liechtenstein legislative process as well as the institutional responsibilities within the administration
- Relevant knowledge of the digital and internet economy as well as a strong interest in current developments in technology, regulation, and digital governance
- Strong analytical skills, quick comprehension, and a high level of abstraction ability, combined with a structured and precise working style
- High degree of personal responsibility, organizational skills, and ideally experience in project management within the administration or regulatory environment
- Fluent German and English skills in spoken and written form as well as excellent written expression for legal, technical, and political contexts
- Professional appearance and pronounced communication skills in dealing with internal and external partners, also in sensitive coordination processes
- Willingness to travel occasionally and actively participate in European committees and working groups
- Motivation to further develop in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment and to shape new paths with a small, committed team
