About the job

The Restaurant Krone is located in a listed former doctor's house and offers a unique ambience for culinary experiences in Zurich-Altstetten. The Krone is known for young and innovative dishes with regional and seasonal ingredients. Besides the modern offerings, there is also room for classics such as the "Züri Gschnätzlets" in a pan. The dining room with 42 seats and the small parlour with 22 seats are also suitable for private or business celebrations. In summer, the large garden with lounge, a top-equipped outdoor kitchen including the Big Green Egg, evokes holiday feelings.

The Restaurant Krone belongs to the Arbeitskette Foundation and is an integration enterprise. The foundation has been operating gastronomy businesses in Zurich and Schlieren since 1994. As an operational foundation with around 100 professionals, we are committed to the social and professional integration of apprentices and employees with disabilities and offer around 165 adapted training and work places.

Your tasks

• Deputise during the absence of the Head of Service
• Responsibility for a smooth service process
• Attending to guests, from seating to farewell
• Leading employees and apprentices with disabilities
• Conducting daily service meetings
• Performing daily closing procedures via Lightspeed
• Training and further education of employees and apprentices with disabilities
• Monitoring compliance with hygiene regulations
• Ordering drinks and non-food items

Your profile

• A completed basic education in service, as well as experience in social pedagogy
• Further training in the social pedagogical field and trainer qualification advantageous
• Several years of professional experience in à la carte service
• Confident German language skills, spoken and written
• Sales talent and very good communication skills
• An open personality with good manners and a well-groomed appearance
• Strong resilience and high flexibility as well as a very precise way of working
• Impeccable character (criminal record and special private extracts will be requested upon employment)
