Your Opportunity
Location: Stabio (Ticino)
Within the Finance & Control team, we are looking for a Credit Analyst to support and continuously improve the credit management process across the assigned customer portfolio.
The role combines credit risk analysis, credit limit definition, portfolio monitoring, collections and recovery activities, as well as accounting support and financial reporting, ensuring full compliance with company policies, internal control frameworks, IFRS and local accounting principles (Italian GAAP).
The successful candidate will act as a key reference point for credit-related topics, working in close collaboration with Sales, Customer Service and Finance stakeholders, and contributing to the robustness and effectiveness of the Order-to-Cash process.
How will You contribute
Credit Risk Analysis & Credit Limit Management
• Perform in-depth financial analysis of new and existing customers to assess creditworthiness and define appropriate credit limits.
• Analyze financial statements prepared under IFRS and/or Italian GAAP, credit reports, payment history, public information (web data) and credit insurance databases.
• Proactively monitor the credit exposure and risk profile of the customer portfolio, identifying potential issues and proposing mitigation actions.
• Manage periodic credit reviews, credit limit updates and exceptions in line with internal policies and approval workflows.
Collections & Recovery
• Manage the collections process for past-due accounts, ensuring timely and effective recovery actions.
• Contact customers via phone and email to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans when required.
• Work collaboratively with Sales and Customer Service to balance risk management with commercial objectives.
• Escalate critical cases and support legal or external recovery processes where necessary.
Reporting, Compliance & Process Governance
• Prepare and distribute regular credit, exposure and aging reports for management.
• Ensure all credit and collection activities are fully compliant with internal procedures, accounting principles, IFRS, Italian GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support bookkeeping activities related to credit and accounts receivable, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of credit and collections reporting, including dashboards and data analyses to support management decision-making.
• Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to enhance reporting tools and data visualization solutions (e.g. Power BI).
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Credit and Order-to-Cash processes, including system, reporting and governance enhancement.
Who you are
You are a professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
You have:
• Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Finance / Accounting roles, with exposure to credit management.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and Italian GAAP, with the ability to interpret financial statements prepared under different accounting standards.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and key credit risk indicators.
• Proven experience in financial and credit reporting and data analysis;
• Experience with accounting and ERP systems;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
