This includes ensuring high-quality basic medical care through optimal hospital planning in the areas of acute somatics and psychiatry, health prevention, consumer protection, and veterinary services.
The Office for Consumer Protection and Veterinary Services (AVSV), with its approximately 100 employees, is responsible for veterinary services as well as food and chemical control in the canton of St. Gallen.
