Assistant Sexton on an Hourly Wage (10-20%)
Church District One belongs to the Zurich Church Community and includes the Old Town with the churches Fraumünster, Grossmünster, St. Peter, the Wasserkirche, and the Predigerkirche. For our lively sexton team, we are looking for you as a committed person to start immediately or by arrangement
Your Tasks
- Setting up and preparing rooms for services, concerts, aperitifs, or events
- Reception and care of event visitors
- Accompanying and assisting in the conduct of services and other events such as concerts, weddings, graduation ceremonies, etc.
- Operation of technical equipment such as audio, lighting, or projector
- Supervision and ensuring compliance with house rules
- Cleaning work before and after events
Your Profile
- Organizational skills as well as independent and service-oriented working style
- Experience and enjoyment in the role of host as well as in physically active work
- Flair in handling electronic devices and technical equipment in a church
- Willingness to work mainly on weekends, evenings, and public holidays
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as polite manners
- Foreign language skills in English and/or French are an advantage
- Positive attitude towards the Reformed Church
