The Legal Service department is the central legal contact point of the Cantonal Police. It advises employees and managers on administrative and civil law issues, is responsible for police legislation and data protection, drafts and reviews contracts, responds to requests for file inspection and citizen complaints, and supports procurement. In addition, it represents the Cantonal Police before authorities and courts and ensures legal certainty, compliance, and good governance.
Your tasks
- Review and preparation of documents in the area of data protection and information security
- Participation in projects, legal support of procurement procedures as well as drafting and reviewing contracts
- Editing and adapting service orders, instructions, and other legally relevant documents
- Drafting statements within the framework of federal and cantonal legislative procedures as well as handling political initiatives
- Processing citizen complaints and requests for file inspection
Your profile
- You have a master's degree in law. A lawyer's license or similar further training is an advantage.
- You have an interest in technology and computer science
- You have experience in the field of data protection law, preferably in administration.
- Very good command of German is required, and you also have good knowledge of French.
- You are flexible, resilient, work constructively in a team, and have an interest in police work or the police environment.
