The position is located in the Vice-Rectorate for Studies and Teaching at the University of St.Gallen. We support lecturers in excellent teaching and research by providing curricular and didactic expertise along with the operation and further development of an innovative digital teaching and learning infrastructure. In the broader context of strategic teaching development, we build bridges to the systematic development of study programs and to the acquisition and management of teaching innovation projects. Your tasks
- You advise, accompany, and train lecturers in the targeted use of digital tools to optimize teaching and learning processes.
- You support the creation of digital teaching content and share responsibility for the operation and further development of our Learning Management System and other teaching tools.
- You are responsible for the operation of our Media Lab with RapidMooc, podcast, and greenscreen studio for digital teaching material production, including maintenance, lending, and instruction in multimedia equipment for teaching.
- In close collaboration with IT and didactic experts, you continuously improve the user-friendliness and functionality of our digital learning environment.
- You conduct needs analyses and feedback sessions with lecturers and students – with the goal of continuously developing the digital teaching and learning environment.
- You monitor current developments in digital teaching and learning technologies and derive promising and forward-looking implementations for operation.
Your profile
- You have a completed university degree, ideally in a field relevant to the position (e.g., educational technology, business informatics).
- You have good technical understanding, are proficient with digital teaching and learning tools as well as Apple and Microsoft products, and use specialized software in multimedia production for teaching.
- You have a strong affinity and practical experience in creating videos, podcasts, or comparable media for conveying learning content.
- You communicate clearly, motivatingly, understandably, and appropriately for the audience, even with complex issues.
- You are enthusiastic about digital trends and apply new technologies with curiosity and a willingness to shape. You work independently, creatively, and show a high degree of initiative.
- Very good German and English skills complete your profile.
