The Market Risk Control team is the central contact point for all questions regarding market risks of the Raiffeisen Group. It is responsible for the ongoing monitoring and sound assessment of these risks. As a Risk Analyst Trading Book, you will be in close dialogue with the trading departments of derivative and nostro trading at Raiffeisen Switzerland to identify risks early, make them transparent, and jointly develop viable solutions.
To strengthen our team located in St. Gallen and/or Zurich Airport (The Circle) with the possibility of home office, we are looking for a committed individual starting January 2026 or by arrangement.
- Monitoring and analysis of risks in the trading book and treasury, especially market, counterparty, and liquidity risks.
- Valuation of complex financial instruments (derivatives, structured products, FX, fixed income, equities) regarding their risk profiles.
- Development and validation of risk models for Value-at-Risk (VaR), Expected Shortfall, stress tests, and backtesting.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FINMA, Basel III/IV, FRTB) in the area of the trading book and treasury.
- Preparation of risk reports and ad-hoc analyses for trading, the Risk Committee, and senior management.
- Completed studies (university / university of applied sciences) in finance, mathematics, physics, statistics, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in risk management focusing on financial risks in the trading book and treasury. Experience in the banking book is an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of quantitative methods, financial mathematics, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with risk systems and tools such as Front Arena, Bloomberg, MATLAB, Python, R, or Power BI.
- Analytical thinking, initiative, and teamwork skills.
- Very good German and English skills, good French or Italian skills are an advantage.
