The Sustainability Research Group at the University of Basel is advertising a position as Strategic Advisor for Cross-Border Teaching (Focus on Sustainability and Social Sciences).
This is a fixed-term position with a duration of 9 months and a workload of 70-75%, starting on 1 February 2026.

Your Tasks
As a strategic advisor for cross-border teaching (focus on sustainability and social sciences), your main task is the development of sustainability-oriented course offerings at the University of Basel. Specifically, this includes:- supporting the development of flipped classroom teaching offerings (e.g., for the Pathways to Sustainability course program);

In your work on the further development of the sustainability-related teaching offerings at the University of Basel, you will specifically use the unique opportunities of the European university networks Eucor - The European Campus and EPICUR, the European University Alliance. The goal of EUCOR and EPICUR is to leverage synergies, jointly expand the teaching offerings, provide high-quality teaching, and enable students to have innovative cross-border and intercultural learning experiences in the field of sustainability.
You recognize and utilize the potentials of these networks for the sustainability-related teaching at the University of Basel - whether through the creation and curricular anchoring of interuniversity courses, joint teaching modules, mobility windows, doctoral schools, or interdisciplinary programs.
