Project Evaluation Collaborator in the Nature and Landscape Sector
Office for Nature and Environment | 80-100% | Chur
To strengthen the nature and landscape section within the Office for Nature and Environment, we are looking for a project evaluation collaborator in the nature and landscape sector starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Tasks
- Within the nature and landscape section, responsible for evaluating construction projects and planning related to projects regarding their compliance with federal and cantonal legal provisions on nature and landscape protection (LPN, LCNP).
- Prepares internal statements within the Office related to projects affecting protected objects according to the LPN and, where necessary, participates in inspections and discussions.
- The scope of activities includes exchange with private individuals, municipalities, other specialized cantonal services, including internal offices, as well as technical cooperation with the Confederation within federal authorization procedures.
- Depending on time availability, supports promotion projects in the nature and landscape sector and assists in implementing the biodiversity strategy of Graubünden.
What we expect from you
- The activity requires solid knowledge in natural sciences on one hand and good knowledge of the framework conditions and legal instruments related to current law in construction, planning, and environmental protection on the other hand; efficient task management and good communication skills are also required.
- You are accustomed to collaborating with specialists, making the best use of their expertise to effectively fulfill your duties.
- This interesting and varied job requires a degree in natural sciences from a university of applied sciences or university with a specialization in ecology (e.g., forestry engineering, physical geography, or similar); good knowledge of the application of planning and environmental protection law (especially LPT and LPN) as well as several years of professional experience are also required.
- The working language is generally German. Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage.
- You are characterized by good IT skills, the ability to work in a team, manage high workloads, and a solution-oriented approach.
