Your Tasks
The Winterthur voters approved the project to renew incineration line 2 at the Winterthur waste incineration plant in September 2024, with an investment volume of CHF 293 million. As the new head of the project team, you will set significant accents for the KVA Winterthur and, together with your dedicated project team, be responsible for the implementation of this important project. In doing so, you make a valuable contribution to ecological sustainability. In your new role, you are responsible for the following tasks:- You are responsible for the overall project management of the renewal of incineration line 2 at KVA Winterthur throughout the entire project management lifecycle.
- You lead the internal project team of 3 to 5 employees both professionally and personally.
- You manage and coordinate the external planning team in close coordination with your employees.
- You are responsible for project change and claim management and ensure project success through goal-oriented project controlling. Additionally, you are responsible for preparing applications and orders as well as developing comprehensible and well-founded decision-making bases.
- You maintain stakeholder management with internal and external stakeholders (Stadtwerk, city administration, public).
Your Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related disciplines. Ideally, you also have a MAS in industrial engineering.
- You have many years of solid experience in project management of interdisciplinary large-scale projects with an investment volume of at least CHF 10 million, preferably in the area of KVA projects.
- As an experienced leader, you find it easy to successfully and competently guide your team members through the large project.
- Your business management knowledge and your entrepreneurial and conceptual thinking can be profitably applied as overall project manager.
- You have a strong affinity for politics and administration and their processes. You find it easy to collaborate with the various stakeholders from administration, politics, and the public
