About the job

The Civil Engineering Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the cantonal roads. The preservation and renewal of the infrastructure with 124 kilometers of roads as well as the implementation of new construction projects are among the exciting challenges in our department.

We are looking for a

Project Manager Civil Engineering 50–100 %

immediately or by arrangement with the workplace in Glarus.

Tasks

• Project and superstructure management of maintenance projects in the field of road and bridge construction
• Overall management of new construction projects
• Procurement, management and control of planner and contractor services
• Planning and conducting structural inspections
• Coordination with other specialist areas and authorities

Requirements

• Education as a civil engineer ETH/FH or equivalent education
• Several years of experience in project management as well as in planning, implementation and construction management of infrastructure projects
• Experience in maintenance planning and structural inspections is an advantage
• Enjoyment of communication and coordination tasks, good oral and written expression skills as well as negotiation skills
• Team-oriented, motivated and proactive personality
