The National Roads Department Area VI of the Civil Engineering Office of the Canton of St.Gallen makes a significant contribution to the safety of the national roads in the cantons of Glarus, Thurgau, and St.Gallen with its maintenance work. For this purpose, the area unit has four depots in Thal, Mels, Biäsche, and Oberbüren as well as two support points in St.Gallen and Müllheim.

Head of Electrical Maintenance North (m/f/d)

What to expect
- With your 8 employees, you take over the economic, technical, and administrative management for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the operational electrical systems in the area of national and cantonal roads
- Preparation and review of offers as well as calculations, including monitoring of results
- Responsibility for invoicing and budgeting of services to third parties
- Support of BSA project management in technical matters and coordination of the required resources
- Ensuring cooperation with other specialist areas and authorities
What distinguishes you
- Completed training as an electrical installer EFZ as well as further training to become a federally certified electrical installer or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable function
- Independent, initiative-taking, and communicative personality with high social competence
- Strong negotiation skills in dealing with suppliers
- High independence, flexibility, and resilience in a dynamic environment
- Good user knowledge of MS Office and confident handling of digital tools
- Driver's license category B and accessibility of the Neudorf support point in St.Gallen within about 30 minutes
